Anna's Camino
Anna's 500 mile hike across Spain

Day 39 - Cee to Cape Finisterre

Tovin and I woke up by the ocean in Cee and began our final walk to Finisterre. We climbed one brutal hill, collected shells, dipped our feet in the sea, and watched the sunset at the “0km” marker with wine, crackers, and a stray cat; an unforgettable, perfect ending to the Camino.

Day 38 - Lago to Cee

Neither of us slept well, but after coffee, croissants, and a cat-filled morning, the day turned beautiful. We climbed some brutal hills, rested at a café with cats, and finally saw the Atlantic from Cee, 500 miles from Saint Jean. Dinner by the harbor was warm, funny, and perfect.

Day 37 - Negreira to Lago

A long 28km day from Negreira to Lago. The hills were brutal, but we met a sweet orange cat, shared sandwiches and Coca-Cola, and finally collapsed at the hostel. After wine, ice cream, and a cozy dinner, we ended the night petting the cutest cat ever before falling asleep exhausted but happy.

Day 36 - Santiago de Compostela to Negreira

Tovin and I started our Finisterre walk today. We left Santiago after coffee, dropped off my extra bag, and got new pilgrim passports. The day was beautiful but tough—especially a brutal 3km hill Tovin helped carry my pack on. We ended with wine, bread, baby eels, and sore but happy feet.

Rest Day in Santiago

Slept in for the first time in weeks and spent the day in Santiago running into nearly everyone I’ve met along the Camino. Drinks, a massage, laughter, and a long dinner with friends—it felt like a celebration and a goodbye all at once. Grateful, tired, and a little sad it’s ending.
